Mocha Skinny Scarf- Beginner Friendly Crochet Pattern

The Mocha Skinny Scarf  is one of those projects crocheters call ‘mindless’. It really is mindless because it is one long strip of fabric with repetitive rows.

The name came about when I took out the beautiful yarn to work with, the creamy brown shade instantly took my mind to those fancy names people give coffee, thus, Mocha. But as you can see, I have made this in another colour that is just as beautiful.

Skinny scarves are really cool accessories to have. They’re one skinny, long piece of fabric that can be worn many ways- I like that they give you the choice of choosing how to wear them.

I particularly like this yarn because of its drapiness, it is just perfect for this skinny scarf and brings out the gorgeous texture. I should mention that having made this the second time, I used another sport weight that is 100 percent acrylic (as seen in the photo), yet the texture remains.

You will find this pattern super easy to make, and it is a great beginner project- all you need is patience!

You decide how long you want to make it, and even though it looks like a lot of rows, trust me when I say you’d not even know when you reach row 200 (I bet you’re gonna make extra rows that you may decide to ‘frog’. ha!)

Blocking this scarf isn’t really necessary since it will stretch on its own with use. So let’s get right to it.
